Return to Office … COVID-19 pandemic …

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, ETI was engaged to design and implement a return to work solution for a safe return to the office. The challenges included finding and implementing a platform that would support diverse locations, tight implementation timelines, evolving circumstances, changing health guidelines, and delivering a change management strategy that would ensure adoption.

OCM
Organizational Change Management for over 6,000 global staff and faculty

An international university engaged ETI to design and implement an Organizational Change Management (OCM) strategy for its President-sponsored 2025 technology-based initiative. The strategy needed to be implemented for over 6,000 staff and faculty in domestic and international locations.

Unified Communications and Hybrid Workplace – Migration and Adoption of Teams Phone in 3 months

Using our scalable methodology, we worked with Microsoft and multiple carriers to migrate our global university client’s more than 9,000 telephone numbers from Plain Old Telephone System (POTS) and cloud-based systems to Microsoft Teams Phone within a three-month window.

* Porting phone numbers between losing and winning carriers
* Configuring call queues and auto attendants
* Implementing dynamic E911 solutions
* Assessing call center alternatives

Spearheaded a strategic pivot, taking charge of a company’s product strategy and bringing it to market

As the fractional Chief Product Officer, we partnered with the co-founders and conducted competitive analysis, prioritized features, and formed and led cross-functional international teams made up of architects, developers, user experience professionals, and quality assurance personnel. We then built a scalable SaaS product and brought it to market.

Using VR for Immersive Training

As a fractional Chief Product Officer, we worked with the product team to develop a product roadmap for an Immersive VR training program. This involved meetings with various teams to determine what innovations were planned for the future and current challenges. We then put together a product strategy and roadmap that included current and future machines. The training removed the need for employees to travel for training and reduced errors in operations.

World’s first global barcode food scanning app

As a technical and product advisor, we contributed to launching the first-ever global barcode scanning app in 2011, a pioneering feature at the time and now a staple in a global company’s wellness application. Users scan food barcodes to find information about the food they consume.

Dynamic Ordering Menu

We developed a dynamic ordering menu that adapted to user preferences stored in their mobile app. As users approached the menu, it would display suggested meals, with dynamic pricing adjustments based on time and other factors.

Drive-thru efficiency optimization using AI

We developed a license plate recognition system to estimate start-to-finish drive-thru order time for a national Quick Serve Restaurant (QSR). Cars would be scanned on entrance and exit and using AI, we tracked patterns and realized efficiencies.

Establishment of Innovation Lab and companion mobile app

We established an innovation lab at the IT headquarters of a global Quick Serve Restaurant (QSR) to foster creative thinking, featuring modular technology display areas and a simulated ordering counter for technology testing. Users would walk into the lab with an app purpose-built for the lab and be greeted by digital signage personalized to their preferences. Users could then learn about and interact with emerging technology stations.

Alerting managers when VIP loyalty members arrive

We developed a recognition and notification system for loyalty members that alerted managers upon the arrival of loyalty members with a pre-determined status and offered promotions to their loyalty accounts.

World’s first Alexa-enabled hotel – smart home of the future

We designed and implemented a “smart home of the future” hotel room experience for a global hotel chain. By leveraging Alexa, users could control lighting, music, and room temperature adjustments all via voice control.
